Here are the materials you need to make these easy Marbled Christmas ornament craft for kids:
- Washable paint
- Plastic ornaments (we got ours at the Dollar Store and Hobby Lobby)
- Optional: Sequins or glitter
- Twine (or string)
Making marbled ornaments is so simple! Here are the instructions:
Open the top of the ornament.
Drop in 2-3 colored drops of paint into the plastic ornament. We used red, yellow, and blue.
Add in a few drips of water (just enough to make the paint move around)
Close the ornament and put the lid back on.
Move the ornament from side to side and around and around to get the paint to coat the side of the ornament (avoid just shaking the ornament).
Add some string or twine to the top of the ornament.
Hang on your tree.
Store: Top side up.
It is so fun to watch the light go through these marbled ornaments when you hold them up to the light! Each one is unique and beautiful!
These ornaments look beautiful wherever they end up on your tree! I made these with my little five year old Daisy Girl Scouts and their moms, and so now every time I see our marbled ornaments I am reminded of the fun day we had playing and crafting together!
