The boys decided they wanted to build a car ramp on the stairs. They used cardboard boxes and painters tape. They even made an audience like in the movie Cars. They had so much fun racing the cars down the ramp. As they raced they were working on ordinal numbers! Ordinal numbers are numbers we use to talk about positions, places in a race or a line. They help talk about the order of things. Of course they were most excited when one of their cars got first place!

Here the boys made a finish line with a stadium for cars to watch the race. They love the movie Cars!
They had fans lined up everywhere to watch.
Then they would go to the starting line. Call out, “Ready Set Go!” and release the cars at the same time.
Once the cars hit the ground they would say who came in first, second, third and so on. The best part about this activity was they created it on their own!
