10. He is the Root, the Offspring, and the Bright and Morning Star.
Slide 10 of 10
“’I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.’ And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:16-17)
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love descriptions of Jesus in the Bible. I cannot read enough about the Messiah and who He is. Sometimes, when I’m having trouble falling asleep, I’ll run through an alphabetical list of descriptions such as, Almighty God, Beautiful Savior, Christ the Lord, and so on.
It is so comforting to know who Jesus is and what He will accomplish on the day He finally returns. Hallelujah! Jesus is the Root, the Offspring, and the Bright and Morning Star. Come, Lord Jesus, come.
