Looking for Christmas books for preschoolers? You’ll love this amazing collection of 35+ Christmas picture books that kids of all ages will enjoy.

Why should you read Christmas themed books with your kids?

Holidays bring opportunities to learn new words, explore different concepts, and even have cool sensory experiences. At our house, we love to find old favorites and new books to read together for each holiday.

Reading has so many benefits! Here are a few of them!

  • Kids build language and listening skills as they read books about Christmas.
  • They learn about new people and places and stimulate their imaginations as they read.
  • Children develop special bonds with their caregivers when they read together.
  • Reading together regularly helps kids cultivate a love of learning (and books!)
  • Kids increase their attention spans and self discipline listening to books read aloud.
  • Reading just makes life more fun!

What are the best Christmas picture books for preschoolers?

Some books are more informational & educational while others are fun and goofy . I think it’s great to have a combination of both in your home. The books in this post are ones we love and have to read over and over again.

You don’t necessarily need 35+ books about Christmas in your home, but you can explore these titles by watching them read aloud on YouTube, swapping books with friends, and checking them out from your local library. There are a dozen other books I could add, but I kept this list focused on some of our top favorites that we read regularly.
