Today’s paper roll bat craft is so easy to make, and involves no messy painting or the drying time that goes along with it.

You will need the basic supplies of construction paper, glue and of course a paper roll. This could be a cut down paper towel roll or a toilet paper roll – both will work.

You will need

  1. Construction paper in black, blue or grey
  2. Lead pencil
  3. Scissors
  4. Glue
  5. Paper roll
  6. This Bat Template

Cut your paper roll so that it’s around  6cm in height (2.3″). Cut a strip of black paper the same hight to wrap around the roll,

Bat craft step 1

Glue the strip to the outside of the paper roll.

Trace the ear shapes from the bat template onto black paper and cut them out. You can either colour the mouth in pink, or trace the shape onto pink paper. Cut out all the facial features.

Bat craft step 2

Glue the ears, eyes mouth and fangs onto your paper roll.

Bat craft step 3

Trace the wing shape onto any colour you like. Cut them out. Add some lines with a black pen for detail.

Bat craft step 4

Glue the wings onto the back of your paper roll and your bat is complete.
